Learn how to organise your Trails in Horse Browser using Folders and Areas
Are you ever overwhelmed online? Horse Browser is a new web browser, designed to help you organise online research. As you browse, every link opens in a new page and saved on the Trail, a list of nested pages stored in your sidebar. This means you can keep track of research and say goodbye to messy tabs.
In this blog post, we’ll be answering the question ‘How do you create folders in Horse Browser?’.

➤ What is Horse Browser?

Horse Browser replaces Tabs with its unique navigational method, named Trails. Every time you click on a link, Horse Browser opens a new page on the Trail, creating nested pages that track your online research.
Trails appear as vertical list in your sidebar and act as your History, Bookmarks and Tabs in one. Horse Browser tracks your research and saves your pages, much like a Notes App. You can shut down and re-open Horse Browser and everything you need is conveniently stored in one place.

➤ Does Horse Browser have Folders?

To efficiently organise your online searches, it helps to group Trails, based on different subjects and tasks.
Many early users of Horse Browser asked the same question: 'When are you introducing Folders?'. After deep-diving online, they wanted to tidy up Trails into Folders, based on different research topics and tasks.
These requests inspired two types of Trails: Areas and Folders.

➤ The Difference Between Areas and Folders

An Area is a Trail with a dedicated header, which acts as an umbrella container for a specific Area of your life or work. You might create an Area for your freelance projects, another Area for your personal admin and another Area for your day job. Areas can contain Trails, Folders and Notes.
A Folder is a Trail that begins with a Folder so you can create a clear filing system for your research and pages.

➤ How to Create A Folder in Horse Browser

  1. To open a new Folder, click on the folder icon at the top of the sidebar

➤ In conclusion

In this post, you learnt how to use Areas and Folders. An Area is a Trail with a dedicated header, which acts as an umbrella container for a specific Area of your life or work. A Folder is a Trail that begins with a Folder so you can create a clear filing system for your research and pages.
These two types of Trail provide flexibility to create your own unique organisational system that works for you.

Sencha tea leaves and brewed tea

Sencha (Japanese: 煎茶) is a type of Japanese ryokucha (緑茶, green tea) which is prepared by infusing the processed whole tea leaves in hot water. This is as opposed to matcha (抹茶), powdered Japanese green tea, where the green tea powder is mixed with hot water and therefore the leaf itself is included in the beverage.

History

Sencha was first created in Japan in the 18th century by Nagatani Soen, a tea farmer from Uji, Kyoto. The process developed by Nagatani, which involved steaming, rolling, and drying the tea leaves, resulted in a tea that was more stable and maintained its quality during transportation. This innovation revolutionized the Japanese tea industry, replacing the previously common offering of matcha.

Production

After harvesting the leaves are steamed for about 15-45 seconds to prevent oxidization of the leaves. This step creates the characteristic flavor of Japanese green tea by deactivating the enzymes that are responsible for oxidation. The leaves are then cooled and dried in a bamboo tray by air, and then are shaped by pressing and rolling into the characteristic needle shape.

Grades

Sencha comes in different grades, depending on the quality and the parts of the tea plant used:

  • Shincha: First harvest of the year, has a fresh, grassy flavor and higher caffeine content.
  • Gyokuro: Premium grade shaded green tea, with a sweeter, more umami taste than regular sencha.
  • Asamushi: Lightly steamed sencha, with a more fragrant, lighter taste.
  • Chumushi: Medium-steamed sencha, balancing aroma and flavor.
  • Fukamushi: Deeply steamed sencha, with a stronger flavor and less bitterness.
